Welcome to the GWSAfrica@lists.sn.apc.org mailing list! This is the Gender & Women's Studies Africa e-mail mailing list. This space is for gender teachers, researchers and activists. It is our space to discuss and debate and share news and information relating to gender & women's studies in Africa. This is meant to be a safe, confidential dynamic space through which we can strengthen our network. We encourage new members to introduce themselves via the listserv and actively participate in this forum. In order to help our discussion along, and to make sure that this electronic space is safe and comfortable for all of us, there are some guidelines: ======================================= GUIDELINES FOR THE ONLINE MEETING SPACE ======================================= In order to achieve the objectives of the Meeting Space, here are some guidelines : 1. Try to deal with one topic per message. 2. Please keep your message short (one page). If you wish to post a long document to the list please contact the mailing list facilitators. Please do not send attachments. 3. Avoid 'jargon'. If you use acronyms, please spell them out in full once. Express yourself simply. 4. When you want to have a personal discussion with someone in the list, please send a message to the person's email address 5. If you are responding to someone else's posting, please make sure the subject heading is the same as the one you are replying to. This will make the discussion flow more easily 6. Also please avoid capital letters as there are perceived as shouting. 7. Also Courtesy is the rule number one. Abusive language and personal attacks are not acceptable. 8. This email mailing list is for members only/confidential. Do not forward or share othersÆ e-mail without permission. 9. Subscribing to Gwsafrica
Subscribe to Gwsafrica by filling out the following form. This is a closed list, which means your subscription will be held for approval. You will be notified of the list moderator's decision by email. This is also a hidden list, which means that the list of members is available only to the list administrator.
