APC at the V World Social Forum

APC will be one of thousands of organisations and individuals from 119
countries present in the southern Brazilian city of Porto Alegre for the
fifth annual gathering of social movements, NGOs, and progressive groups
who believe that “another world is possible”.

APC including a number of APC members (such as RITS from Brazil, ITeM
from Uruguay, and Jinbonet from South Korea) will be present at events
including those of the CRIS Campaign. On Thursday January 27th we are
offering a workshop on “Networking for change and empowerment: building
a gender and ICT policy agenda in the women's movement”.

APC will be publishing a bulletin focusing on debates, panels,
workshops, and stories that illustrate the use of internet and ICTs for
social justice and development. The bulletin - featuring news in a
variety of languages - will be circulated on our APCNews and APCNoticias
mailing lists.

If you’re coming to Porto Alegre and would like to meet up with APC, we
are at stand one at CAIS DO PORTO (Av. Mauá across from Armazen A6) from
January 26 to 30 - 9am to 9pm.
