Harari National League Celebrates 10th Founding Anniversary

Harar, August 26, 2001 (ENA) - The Harari National League (HNL) colorfully=20
celebrated its 10th founding anniversary in Harar town yesterday.=20

HNL chairman, Fuad Ibrahim, said on the occasion that the popular struggle=20
waged by the League to promote the culture, language and history Harari=20
people has borne fruit.=20

He said the state's education coverage rose from 44 per cent ten years ago t=
o=20
76 per cent at present.=20

Similarly, the health service coverage in the state has increased to 77 per=20
cent from 36 per cent in the reported period, the chairman said.=20

Fuad said investment projects with a total capital of 320 million Birr are=20
under operation in the state currently.=20

The renewal movement in HNL would continue to bring about solidarity among=20
members of the League and clearly identify and tackle the dangers of the=20
political system.=20

Members of HNL were determined as ever before to fight corruption, narrow=20
nationalism and chauvinism, Fuad said.=20

Ministers, heads of states' administration, ambassadors and others invited=20
guests and residents of the town attended the ceremony.=20
With the leadership of the league as the ruling party, encouraging results=20
have been attained in the provision of social services through the=20
implementation of various development projects in the last ten years, Fuad=20
said.=20
