CONTACT TRUST is an independent organisation contributing to a democracy
that upholds the values of transparent, accountable, equitable and
accessible decision-making in the field of natural resource management.

VACANCY: PROGRAMME MANAGER
The programme manager is responsible for oversight of the two core
programmes within the organisation.  Contact urgently seeks to fill this
permanent position as of August 2004, at our offices in Cape Town.

Requirements:
- Demonstrated commitment to our values of democracy, equity, social and
environmental justice, the realization of human rights
- A related degree or two to five years related working experience in an NGO
environment
- Excellent English writing skills
- Networking skills
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite, email and the Internet
- Experience in research practice, information management, public policy
development and community participation would be an advantage

Responsibilities include:
- Supervision of our Political monitoring and information dissemination
programme
- Supervision of our Lobbying development programme
- Team management and mentoring
- Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders
