*Tell Us About Your Technology*
SANGOTeCH [2], a programme in partnership with SANGONeT [3] and Techsoup
Global [4], aims to assist NGOs by providing software for very low fees in
conjunction with ICT donor partners, as well as by supporting NGOs to make
the most of their ICT purchases and infrastructure. To register your South
African NGO please click here [5].
To better understand how NGOs are using traditional and cloud-based
technology in planing for their future needs SANGOTeCH [6] and TechSoup
Global [7] are conducting a world-wide cloud survey to assist NGOs in raising
their voices to advocate for affordable, relevant technology for the social
benefit sector.
Be heard! This is your chance to tell us more about your technology needs and
requirements. Take our survey [8] – it is short, only 10 minutes, and
intended for anyone who has responsibility for recommending, purchasing or
managing Information Technology (IT) products or services at non-governmental
organisations (NGOs), nonprofits, charities, libraries, foundations or
similar organisations. All ranges of IT influencers are invited - from
accidental techies to IT Directors.
By better understanding the tools you currently use and your future plans, we
can work with our partners around the world to provide NGOs, like yours, the
technology resources they need to operate at their full potential.
The survey closes on 23 March 2012, so please don’t miss out on your chance
to tell us about your IT needs.
What are we doing with the results?
After the survey, Techsoup Global will publish a white paper with the survey
results detailing the responses of nonprofits based in the United States and
in 37 countries around the world. The results will support NGOs like yours in
making informed IT decisions. They will provide insights into how your peers
are using technology, including the currents needs and issues around adopting
cloud technologies.
If you’re interested in receiving a report on the survey findings, be sure
to provide your e-mail address at the end of the survey. We’ll send you the
white paper when it is  finished in mid-2012 and it will be available for
free on our website [9].
