Ok. Here we go, not the perfect solution but also not a bad one considering.

We can get a trainer for this week and will have to get a second trainer for the second and third training week. This is not ideal but can work especially if we concentrate on the hand over and introduction of these trainers.

We have ten copies of the MUP courseware in stock and will have the balance printed and delivered by Wednesday morning.

We also need to get the Laptops from MS ASAP as it will take our technical team more than a day to prepare and they will only be ready during the course of Wednesday. The training starts off with quite a bit of theory and the trainer will keep the guys busy until the setup is done.

Please let me know if you are in agreement with this solution. I also need to know where this training venue is Jeanette said that she will send me a fax but I haven't received it.

Hi all.

Gerhard has informed me that under the best circumstances we will only be
able to start any training on Wednesday - assuming he is able to get a
trainer, which he is currently battling to do at such short notice.
Obviously we have a lot to do to in determining what went wrong today, but
the immediate priority is to make a decision around these learners.
If we have access to laptops from Themba, that will help lot - how many will
you have available Temba?
I suggest that we await a definitive answer from  Gerhard by 16h00 around
whether a trainer is available. If not, we will have to make a decision
around cancelling the training.
If there is indeed a chance at getting the training going, perhaps we can
make up time over a weekend day or two.
Please comment if anyone has further suggestions, or call me on 083 297

It was agreed in the last meeting at Sangonet that training had to happen
and end before 15 December and 13 November 2006 was then identified. We
(USAASA) undertook to bring them up here in case no venue was found in Cape
Town. I subsequently communicated by E mail that we were indeed considering
Gauteng as no suitable place was found in Cape Town. You must have missed
that E Mail.

Hi All

As you all probably know by now I received a call this morning informing me
that there are 15 Telecentre trainers from the Cape region in a hotel
somewhere in Edenvale expecting to be trained. As you might know this came
as a huge shock to us as the last communication around Cape region training
was that the USSA is still trying to secure a venue and that they are
exploring the possibility of hosting the training in JHB.

As it currently stands we do not have the following ready for the
training:

Trainer (Rose is not available)
Computer room (The laptops used for group 1&2 were distributed
internally)
Courseware and supplementary notes
Administration documents around the collection of the portfolio of evidence

I have been trying to get the necessary resources in order to train this
group of trainers but without any luck. I will keep on exploring ways to
deliver this training but can not guarantee that this training will take
place.

I will keep you updated.
